Back in the good old days, a good buddy of mine used to always go on about how good 77 - Broome County was and we all listened to it a lot on cassette. He came up with a made-up catch phrase for anything that was really good - he called it "Broome-ing" except he would pronounce Broome as "brome" - not sure if he found out that that is the correct local pronounciation of Broome County? Broming!!

For the record, and as a former resident, Broome is pronounced "broom." But I'm sure we came up with many "isms" ourselves after passing the whiskey 'round.

Thinking back on it all, my friend is from the south, so maybe it was his version of an upstate NY accent saying Broome.
